We spend this weeks to finalize our video, this process includes final editing, export to video and printing paper work. Few days ago, I have received the email sent by Peter tells us that we did not meet him to update our progress, this was our biggest mistake but we hardly to meet each other even on the day time because of working issue.
Hope we can finish in time!!!

Week 9: Paper based work
In this week, we tried to finish up our paper based part. This includes finding graphics, screen shot parts of editing phase and polish up the words to make it more simple and user friendly.
I felt quite nervous because the time is coming near as we only left 2 weeks to finish up our project and we had already received the email sent by Peter about the presentation on the final week.
Denise and I puts up more effort by lessen our work at night time to finish up what we had left. Its time for action.

Week 8 : Tourism editing
For the past week, Denise was working on the 3 tutorial videos. Denise face a problem when comes to editing which is making decision in choosing shots for the tutorial video, we did took quite some number of shots and she was trying to find a way to simplify it to make the tutorial guide easy to understand and would not spend too much time looking at it.
Denise pass the baton to me on editing part, I will begin the editing of tourism video with arranging them from morning shots to night shots, make it seems like a day trip in Darwin. The hard part is finding a suitable background music that fits our video, a happy and fast phase music would be the best option. I downloaded few songs from freeplaymusic.com and chosen one of them as our background music and start to arrange the music according to beat.

Week 7 The editing
Last weekend we tried to shoot all the footage we wanted to start our serious editing. Due to time constrain, we tried to divide our task well so we can meet up with datelines. In discussion, I have shown Denise the paper work that I have done and her editing part too, which makes us 40% more to finish. We are quite concern with the time we have, we will have to work harder to accomplish this mission.
Editing 3D isn't that complicated as we thought, just like normal video editing, arrange the clips in sequence, put transition between 2 clips, put some effects. The main difference is we will have to add in a 3D effect to each clip, which is called dashwood stereo toolbox LE.

Week 6 Holiday Week
This week we have our first 1 week holiday which makes us more time to work more on independent studies as we are having other subject's assignments.
The difficulties for us during the progress is both of us are usually working at daytime, so that we only can work on our independent project after office hour. Besides that, We dun have access to the Photography studio after hour and make our situation become harder.
After this semester break, Eric approved me to get access for Photography Studio after hour by sending email to Damien. Finally, we can spend more time on editing the 3D tourism Promotional Video.

Week 5 The meeting
This week we have a small meeting with Eric to discuss about our project, we report to him our progress and seeking for advice. He guide us in arranging the sequence and told us to be more specific in doing this tutorial because it would be a good guidance for future students when comes to 3D video.
He showed us the footage that he have taken before, the jumping crocodile and some scene.
We divided in two parts, editing and paper work. Denise taken the editing job and I might as well do the paper work. Both of us have different task and goals to achieve. Good luck.

Week 4 The shooting
Me and Denise went to Darwin city for shooting in the morning, we took shots at esplanade, the wharf and wave pool. It took us around 3 hours and we stop for lunch after that. We decided to postpone our shooting to late afternoon because the sunlight was too bright and will caused our footage over exposed.
After lunch, we went back to the 3D room to transfer all the footage into computer, we started to play around and edit parts of our footage. We are happy for the shots we had taken, and experienced the beauty of viewing it in 3D.
